System Scalability, Content Hierarchy, Global Distribution

Challenge
Contemporary Lynx launched as a new international art publication, requiring a visual language credible enough for institutions like Tate Modern while flexible enough to handle diverse content — from academic essays to experimental photography — across 160+ pages.
Strategy
Designed a modular editorial system balancing structure and flexibility. Built a grid that adapts to different content types while maintaining consistency, and used typography and spacing to guide readers through long-form content without fatigue. Evolved the system across multiple issues to accommodate new formats without breaking its core logic.
Impact
Readability: Clear hierarchy made 160+ pages easy to navigate.
Scalability: System supported new content across six issues.
Credibility: Adopted by internationally distributed publication, including institutions like Tate Modern.
Layout is the interface in high-density design.
